Strange letter, Holidays and Adventure

This morning around 7am my brother found a hand delivered letter in our letter box. The letter reads as follows:

It's quite strange and doesn't actually make any sense. But if you take the first letters of each word you get a list of names:

This is very interesting, But I don't actually know anyone of these names. Which means this is probably the end of the trail. A bit of a pity, because it sounded like it could have been some kind of
